1st Payment from Donkeymails

Jul 14, 2008 in PTC (Paid To Click)

Hot on the heels of my payment from Prowling Panther, here’s one I got today from Donkeymails. The payment was requested on June 26. Sponsored posts are still my primary means of making money online but PTC sites are a secondary way that I’m looking at.

Update on Paid to Click sites

Jun 27, 2008 in PTC (Paid To Click)

Since my last post on Earning Money Online With Pay To Click Referrals I’ve been learning more about the world of PTC. A good help to me in this has been TalkPTC a forum for people involved in the business, both in running the sites and for the clickers and people thinking about investing in them.

The first thing I learned is that the word ‘SCAM’ is one that crops up a lot in the PTC business. There are many, many PTC sites out there and most of them close down or go bust within only a few months, making it unlikely that many people will make money from them, except for maybe the site owner.

For anyone not aware of this, the scam in PTC is perpetrated by encouraging people to buy referral packages. That is, to buy over from the site people who have signed up as clickers without being referred by another member. Since you are paid each time one of your referrals clicks a link the idea is that by buying these referrals you increase your earning power. Unfortunately it seems that many sites simply invent these unreferred members and since they are not genuine or active clickers they will never earn the investor back their money. The other simple and obvious way that many PTC sites scam their members is simply by not paying their members when they have reached their cashout amount.

Since the Internet is a big place these sites are able to do this and continue to stay in business for several months or maybe even years before they shut down.

I haven’t gotten into the business of buying referral packages so I’m not in danger of losing any money from these sites but it is nonetheless very annoying when you accumulate several dollars through painstaking clicking of links only for the site to close down or terminate your account for no reason.

It is very useful to help keep yourself informed of which sites are genuine and which are scams to visit forums such as TalkPTC and read what experiences other people have with these sites.

Before I even compiled my last list of PTC sites I had already fallen victim to Velocity Clicks which turned out to be a scam site. I learned this through TalkPTC and was sorry to turn my back on Velocity Clicks and the six or seven dollars I had accumulated by clicking on the site. It turned out though that turning my back on it was the right thing to do because the site has shut down and reopened a couple of times since and it still appears to be a scam site so I would therefore have never been paid if I had continued to click on links on it.

I am still clicking on most of the sites that I listed in my last post. I am no longer a member of Adverbux because they decided to exclude my country (Ireland) from the list of countries it allows. This seems to have been due to ignorance on the site owners part because the list of countries allowed on Adverbux appear to be all the English-speaking ones, of which Ireland is also one! SLPay also seems to have stopped functioning. There hadn’t been any ads on it for weeks and now the site won’t even open anymore.

Since my last post I have reached the cashout level on VipBux ($10) and DonkeyMails ($1). I have applied for payment and am still waiting for it. I am approaching the cashout level on a few others. I will post the payment proofs when/if I get them.

The sites I currently click on regularly, with totals earned in brackets, are as follows:

10Bux Cashout $10 ($4.00)

Earning Money Online With Pay To Click Referrals

Mar 22, 2008 in PTC (Paid To Click)

Since I started with PTC sites two weeks ago I have found that the money is building up quicker than I initially expected. So far in the last two weeks I have made $11.13 from PTC sites. That’s out of my total earnings of $165.74 in the last two weeks. It is therefore already a significant element of my online earnings.

The basic idea behind PTC is that people pay the PTC site to bring visitors to their site. To do that the PTC pays a lesser amount to people who sign up with it and click on links. When you click on a link and keep it open for a given length of time, anywhere from 5-30 seconds you get paid a certain amount. The amount can vary from a 0.001 of 1c to 1-2 cents.

Surprisingly it does add up and I certainly didn’t expect that it would already have accumulated to $11.13 after two weeks. I have worked up this amount of money by signing up with numberous sites and clicking links on all of them.

I’m an active clicker, practically every day, on the following sites:

The first step to making money with PTCs to by signing up to them and clicking links yourself. The next step is to get referrals. All PTCs have referral programmes whereby you get paid a bonus for every link that every new member you refer clicks on. Some of them have multiple levels so that you even get paid for links that those new members refer as well.

Even if you don’t join one of these sites using a referral link you will end up making money for someone else anyway. PTC sites have deals where they sell on unreferred members. Purchasing referrals is one way to do it but it is better to make money without investing any!

NB. If anyone wants to swap referrals with me please join any of the above sites with my link and give me a link of your own to another PTC for me to join. Obviously your PTC can’t already be on my list or otherwise I can’t join it.

Clixsense: Get Paid To Click

Feb 23, 2008 in PTC (Paid To Click)

Clixsense is a web site which pays you to click on links. The pages that load are usually loud and garish advertisements for casinos or get-rich-quick schemes. Effectively you are being paid to view an advertisement.

The payment is small, usually 1c per ad for a basic member and the number of ads you can view per day is limited to around ten. When you open a link you must keep it open for a minimum of 30 seconds to get paid. There is also a referral scheme (10c per referral) which helps to speed up payout somewhat.

Payout, which is by cheque, is when you reach a minimum of $10. Unfortunately there is a handling charge for the cheque which is deducted from your earnings so you don’t get the full amount.

Clixsense is not a get rich quick scheme but it is a way to make a few extra cents per day. You can even have it open in a separate tab if you can’t spare the 30 seconds!

Two similar sites are Adbux and Bux.to. There are lots of others. I’m joining them one-at-a-time as I read a bit about them and establish which ones are reputable and pay up. Since you could expect to average around 10 ads per day on each site it might start to add up to a bit if you’re signed up to several of these sites and have other people referred as well, for which you get a bonus. The difference with Adbux and Bux.to is that they pay via AlertPay (similar to PayPal) which is handier than cheque.

Another site again is EuroCentBux. This also pays by AlertPay. The difference is that it trades in Euros, so a click here is worth 1 Euro cent, which is worth about 1.4 US cents at current exchange rates. Payout is at €10
